dojo seremban institute of aikido

i was asked by sensei ramlan
to follow him to seremban
become his uke during the class
because he is going to teach there

actually
sensei gerrard is preparing his students
for grading on next 10th october
they're going for 8th kyu to 4th kyu

during the training hours
sensei ramlan called me
and ask to do exactly like the grading day
- getting up from seiza
- run and stand in front of senseis
- bow, do the techniques according to the syllibus
- finish & going out

at the end of the class
sensei gerrard told his students
that is how they are suppose to do
during the grading day
- everything must be done sharply
and he is taking me as an example for his students

then i realized that
it's not easy to be an 'uchi dechi' (the live-in student)
- a lots of responsiblity
- many things to learn
- etc etc etc (never ending list)

after class
i took some throws from sensei gerrard

comments from sensei ramlan
* maintain the posture while attacking (don't bend down the body, reaching the head 1st)
* commit the attack (don't do it half-way / stop halfway)
